Elijah (Sandy) Glen Dalton, age 80, of Logansport, passed away Sunday June1, 2025 in Franciscan Health East of Lafayette.
Sandy was born on February 18,1945 in Marion, Indiana to the late Everett and Catherine (Eubank) Dalton of Logansport. Sandy graduated from Logansport High School in1963 where he played football and ran track. Sandy joined the US Navy in September 1963. He enlisted for four years and was stationed on the USS Lawrence. In 1965, he married Selinda Haworth and started a family of a son, Chad Michael (Jen) Dalton in 1967 and Tamera Lee (Zak) Dalton (Klinck) in 1968.
The family was blessed with five grandchildren Matthew Glen Klinck, Noah James Dalton, Andrew Michael Klinck and wife Amanda Klinck, Ethan James Dalton, and Sarah Elyce Klinck.
Sandy was a member of River of Life Christian Church where he served as deacon, elder and board chair.
A celebration of life service will be held at 12:00 pm Friday June 6, 2025, in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Cary Green officiating.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10:00 am until time of services on Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the River of Life Christian Church.
