Our beloved Elijah was tragically taken from us on Saturday, September 21st, 2024. Elijah Bryce Wyand was celebrating his 25th birthday when a selfish, and senseless act of gun violence took his life, a life that was just truly beginning as he drew nearer to Christ was cut too short. Elijah was born September 20, 1999, in Rockingham, North Carolina to his Mother Samantha Wyand and Father Michael Brady.
Even though Elijah was taken from us before his time, he lived his life to the fullest every single day. Elijah lived for his family, loved his friends and enjoyed football. He always had a way of bringing people together and his laugh could change any bad mood! His smile and cheerful spirit will be missed every day.
Elijah's memory will forever be cherished by his Siblings; Aishah Powell, Jewel Jones, Chloe Jones, Maliyah Brady, Malik Brady, Michael Brady and Gavin Martin. His nieces Holana King and Nyalie Jones. Nephew Elias Powell, Grandmother Cynthia Carter and Grandfather Ira Brady. As well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his baby sister Emily Brady, Grandmother, Tammy Lynn Moore, Grandfather, Sammy Wyand, as well as many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends whom Elijah adored and respected.
Elijah was loving, caring, supportive, the protector of the family and in all things Elijah did he was always striving to make his mama and siblings proud. We are all so proud of you Elijah. You will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 6, 2024, from 2:00-3:00 PM at Crystal Springs Chapel.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM following the visitation with Pastor Bruce Suggs Officiating.
"I just want y’all to know sin isn’t what you do but a state of being, God didn’t create sin how could he. Sin is a condition, it’s the state of your soul and where you lay with it truly in your heart" -Elijah
