I want to start off with a little funny story. Many years ago Elisa and I wanted to go to a concert at the Summit in Houston. It was Rick Springfield, I believe. We were both very excited to go. I picked her up and away we went. In my eyes, Elisa was quiet and reserved just like me. Well when we arrived and the concert began, Elisa climbed on top of her chair and was yelling out and singing along loudly to the songs!! I was in disbelief, but was so happy to see her having a great time!!
And now on a more serious note, when Elisa first heard of my breast cancer diagnosis a little over a year ago, she called me. She was so willing and eager to help me in any way she could. She eased my mind by teaching me about breast cancer and what to expect. I will never forget how kind she was to take her time with me. It meant so much. I truly miss her. The world needs more people like her.
