Elisa Rose Root

Elisa Rose Root, 7, of Kalkaska, a beloved daughter, sister, and friend, left this world on May 14, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Born on December 14, 2015, Elisa brought joy and happiness to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Elisa had a zest for life that was evident in everything she did. One of her favorite pastimes was wearing dresses every day. She was an adventurer at heart, Elisa loved exploring the outdoors. Going for walks and searching for rocks brought her happiness. Beyond her beautiful exterior, Elisa's caring nature touched the lives of many. She leaves behind a grieving family and a community who loved her dearly. While we mourn her passing, we also celebrate the beautiful soul that she was. May her memory serve as a reminder to us all to embrace life's adventures, to love unconditionally, and to find joy in the simplest of things. She will be deeply missed but forever cherished. Elisa will be forever loved by her father Richard Dwayne Robert Root; her mother Tracy Lynn (Cornell) Root who subsequently passed away; sisters: Kailynn Root, Ashlynn Thomas, Alivia Cornell, Ashaya Cornell and Ember Root; Aunts: Vicki (Michael) Rose, Denise (Paul Medina) Sanchez, Heather (Matt) Yager, Celena (Leroy) McConnel; Uncles John (Kelley Desy) Cornell and Frank Riemenschneider; and many cousins. A Celebration of Life will be held at Kalkaska Church of Christ on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 2:00 pm. Arrangements have been entrusted to Kalkaska Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
