Elissa Marie (Sisk) Smith, age 69, passed away on February 13, 2026.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. Richard James Smith of Central, LA; son, John Wilson Parks of Gray, LA; stepson, James Michael Smith of Lafayette, LA; brothers, David Alan Sisk of Macon, GA, John Denis Herring of Houma, LA, and Dr. James Paul Sisk of Joplin, MO; sisters, Nancy Blackburn of El Reno, OK, and Pearl Mae (Sisk) Smart of Edmond, OK; grandsons, James Buras, Jr. of Saucier, MS, Jonathan Parks of Florida, and Logan Folse of Schriever, LA; granddaughters, Elizabeth “Lizzie” Buras of Bourg, LA, Gabriella “Gabby” Parks of Gray, LA, and Jolee Bel Parks of Lafayette, LA. Also survived by 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by mother, Cara Lee Herring of Houma, LA; father, James Paul Sisk of Mustang, OK; stepfather, J.B. Herring of Houma, LA; stepmother, Flo Ella (King) Sisk of Calumet, OK; daughter, Cara Lee Parks Buras of Schriever, LA; sister, Jo Ann (Sisk) Smeal of Calumet, OK.

Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 5657 Thomas Rd, Baton Rouge, on Thursday, February 19, 2026, from 9AM to 11AM with the Funeral Mass at 11AM.
