Clinton Michael "Mike" Smith

February 15th, 2026, Clinton Michael (Mike) Smith,74 years old, passed away at his home in Panama City, Florida.

Born in Palatka, Florida March 31, 1951 to Betty Griffin and Clinton Smith. Mike graduated from Crescent City High School and was a retired correctional officer at ACI. For many years he also served as pastor of multiple churches and served as chaplain for truck stop ministries.

On January 5th, 1973 he married the love of his life, Linda and they have cherished each other for over 53 years. In October 1973, they welcomed their baby boy, Timmy and in November 1978 their little girl, Kim. He loved his family with all his heart and instilled in them the love of Jesus and that through Him ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE.

He was passionate about life, lived by faith in Christ and adored each and every one in his family. He faced many challenges in his life but never complained. He trusted God had a purpose for him and his life would be a testimony of God's love and miracles.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, Betty Griffin and Clinton Smith; brothers, Doug Smith and Keith Smith and his son, Timmy Smith.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Smith; daughter, Kim Finley and husband, Matt; brother and sister in-law, Dale and Anne Smith; sister and brother in-law, Terry and Donnie Hosey and sister in-law, Kathy Fears. Survivors also includes, grandchildren, Christian Smith, Christopher Finley, Donovan Finley, Patience Ross and Leanna Ross; nephews, Doug Hosey, Clinton Smith, Cody Smith and Chris Fears; nieces, April Cochran and Jessica Phillips and Mike's faithful companion, Gizmo.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Daniels, Pastor Jimmy Wright and Pastor Tim Faircloth officiating. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.

Those serving as pallbearers include: Ray Rayburn, Wade Mercer, Parrish Brewer, Kevin Applewhite, Donnie Hosey, Clinton Smith and Dale Smith.

Funeral services are entrusted to the Lambe family at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.
