Elizabeth Angle Deyerle Avery, 61, passed away unexpectedly on February 17, 2026, just days before her 62nd birthday. Born on February 22, 1964, in Grove City, Elizabeth later moved with her parents and brother to Scottsdale, where she met the love of her life, Michael Avery. Together they built a life rooted in family and fun, eventually settling in San Antonio.
Elizabeth was the devoted wife of Michael Irvin Avery and the loving mother of Michael Grant Avery, Kirsten Elizabeth Avery, Megan Belen Avery, and Charley Mae Avery. She was a proud and adoring grandmother to her precious granddaughter, Penelope Wren White, who brought her immeasurable joy. She is reunited in eternal peace with her Savior, Jesus Christ, and with the family who preceded her in death: her father, Charles Deyerle; her mother, Maryann Bartlett Deyerle; and her brother, Grant Deyerle.
Elizabeth found her true calling as a caregiver, dedicating her life to serving the elderly, especially those nearing the end of their earthly journey. Caring for others was not simply her profession—it was her ministry. She offered comfort, dignity, and compassion to countless families during their most vulnerable moments. She never met a stranger. Elizabeth’s warmth and generosity made everyone feel welcome and valued. She was deeply giving, compassionate, nurturing, and selfless—always placing the needs of others before her own. As a wife, mother, and grandmother, she was steadfast in her love and support, a constant source of encouragement and strength. Her family was her greatest pride and joy. Elizabeth’s life was a testament to love, service, and unconditional devotion. Though her passing leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who loved her, her family finds comfort in knowing she has been welcomed into the arms of her Savior.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 1st, at 2:00 p.m. at Northwood Presbyterian Church, located at 518 Pike Rd, San Antonio, Texas 78209.
Services with integrity, pride, and honor are under the direction of Kimble Funeral Home. (325) 446-3076
