Elizabeth P. Chambers

WAREHAM – Elizabeth P. (Antinello) Chambers, 83, of Wareham, passed away on March 7, 2026, at home. She was the wife of the late Daniel R. Chambers and the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Jane (MacNeil) Antinello.

She was born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada and came to the United States in 1962. She lived in Wareham for many years.

Mrs. Chambers worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for Roland Thatcher Nursing Home in Wareham for over 38 years before retiring. When she no longer worked the floor, she would escort patients to doctors visits. She became a voice for the elderly and their medical care, encouraging them not to give up on their medical needs and pursue further testing when appropriate, even when some doctors would say not to "because of their age". She believed being older didn't make people less deserving.

She enjoyed going to the beach, reading, cooking, crocheting, knitting and telling jokes.

Survivors include her children, Karen Andrews and her husband, Shawn of East Wareham, Dennis Horrigan of Ft. Lauderdale, and Sandra Crispin and her husband, Christopher; her sister, Jeannette Chapman of Sydney, Nova Scotia; her brothers, Joseph Antinello and Eric Antinello both of Hamilton, Ontario; her grandchildren, Jessica Andrews of Wareham, Christopher Crispin and his wife, Brittany of Plymouth, Julia Crispin of CA, Stephanie Horrigan of FL, Jenna Andrews of Onset, Dennis Horrigan of FL, Jaryd Andrews and his wife, Lashay of Onset, Kyle Horrigan of FL and Jannell Andrews of Wareham; her great grandchildren, Makenzie, Serenity, Zacharia, Eva, Ella, Jaryd Jr., Zephaniah, Amani, Charlotte, Grace, Kennedy, Graham and Ryden. She was the mother of the late Kevin Horrigan and sister of the late James Antinello and Edith Fifield.

A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, March 23, 2026, at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Please arrive at the cemetery at 11:15 a.m.
