Elizabeth "Betty" Connelly

The world lost a bright light with the passing of Elizabeth "Betty" Connelly on November 29, 2025. While the loss is immeasurable, we find comfort in the endless love she shared and in the beautiful memories that will live on. She was born on June 27, 1952 to Margaret (Brazee) and Charles Elmendorf.

Betty was a woman of strength, resilience, and bravery. If you knew her, you know that you could always count on her to make you laugh. Her sense of humor was like no other. Her courage inspired all who knew her. She will always be remembered for her love of the New York Yankees.

Betty worked at the Panda Chinese restaurant for many years. She also worked at Hannaford, in the bakery department and was a bartender at the Grand Slam for several years. During these years, she met several people that turned into a second family.

Betty leaves behind a family she cherished above all else: her children, Lisa, Paula (Ed Smith), and Paulie, her grandchildren, Antonio (Marly), Deion, Miranda (Ciera), and Derek, her great grandchildren, Quinten, and Adrianna. Betty also has another great grandchild who is expected to arrive in March, Bianca Bovoso, who she would've loved to meet. She also leaves behind her brothers, Decan and Richard. Many nieces and nephews also survive. She has many friends who she loved deeply that will miss her very much. Betty was predeceased by her parents, her brothers; Bobby and John and her sister Cathy.

Services will be held on Friday, December 12 from 4 to 6 PM at the Joseph V Leahy Funeral Home, 27 Smith Ave., Kingston, NY 12401.
