Betty (Elizabeth) Cowley, 84, entered the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 22, 2025, at Ephrata Manor Nursing Home, after complications related to a lung infection.

Born on October 11, 1941, in Darby, Pennsylvania, Betty was the daughter of William and Dorothy Founds, who preceded her in death.

Betty was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and a powerful intercessor who prayed faithfully for countless people throughout her life. She carried a deep love for the Word of God and a steadfast commitment to serving others, including assisting at food pantries, being a prayer partner at hospitals, and more.

Betty and her husband of 64 years, Ron Cowley, while serving on a short-term mission in Papua New Guinea, fell in love with the people and dedicated their time and energy for many years to help establish a Bible School and other ministry endeavors. Her heart for the nations and her obedience to God's call left a legacy that continues to bear fruit.

Betty was preceded in death by her sister, Jean Demboski, and her brother, William Founds.

She is survived by her husband, Ron Cowley; her daughter, Sharon Wegman, wife of Dwight Wegman; her son, Scott Cowley, husband of Tatijana; and her two grandchildren, David Wegman and Ana Moran, wife of Thomas Moran. She is also survived by her brother, Donald Founds, and her sister, Cherri Landry.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Betty's honor to: Ephrata Manor Nursing Home, 99 Bethany Road, Ephrata, PA 17522.

"Well done, good and faithful servant." Matthew 25:23.
