Elizabeth Cush, 79, of Uhrichsville, Ohio, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, February 12, 2026. Born July 30, 1946 in Dennison, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Robert Earle and Lillian Rose (Yaggi) Gooding.
Beth was a 1964 graduate of Uhrichsville High School before attending The Ohio State University. After college, she spent a few years living in California before returning home to marry the love of her life, Kurt D. Cush, on February 8, 1975. She earned her LPN certification from Timken Mercy School of Nursing and spent many years as a home health nurse for Better Home Health. Above all else, Beth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker who delighted in caring for her home and family. She was also an avid gardener who enjoyed being a member of the Conotton Valley Garden Club.
In addition to her husband, Kurt, Beth is survived by her daughters, Stephanie (husband, David Nematollahi) Cush of Severna Park, Maryland and Kathryn “Katie” (husband, Nathan Mikita) Cush of Miami, Florida; grandchildren, Nico and Micah Mikita and Luke and Charles Nematollahi; siblings, Patty (husband, Will) Rand, Barbara Gooding, David (wife, Jan) Gooding, and Jean Spencer; and a large extended family including many nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
Rev. Bradley Rippel will officiate a noon memorial service on Saturday, February 21, at the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison where her family will receive callers from 10:30 a.m. to noon, prior to the service. Those wishing to honor her memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to do so to the charity of their choice.
