Elizabeth "Ashton" Souders Dean, 36, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 21, 2026, surrounded by her family. A native of Johnston County, she was the daughter of Arthur Cole Souders and Dona Elizabeth Shaw-Souders.
Ashton is preceded in death by her brother, Matthew "Tanner" Souders. Ashton is survived by her husband, Michael "Blair" Dean, son Michael "Camdon" Dean; parent-in-laws, Dwayne Dean (Christine), and Stephanie Ford (Glen); siblings Dustin Souders (Rachel), Jason Souders (Carissa); Aunt, Cindy Anderson (Benny) ; Sister-In-Law, Lindsey Harris (Daryle); nephews and nieces Theo, Poppy, Addy, Nash, Avery and Lainee Kate.
Ashton was known for doing anything for her boys. Ashton especially loved watching Camdon play baseball. She loved her family and friends with all her heart, and spoiling her precious dog, Maggie. Some of her happiest days were spent traveling with her loved ones, especially when she was in Paris. Her legacy was mostly her large family.
A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Overflow Church, 8280 NC-50, Angier, NC 27501.
