Elizabeth A. Dennin (Betsy) passed away peacefully on Monday, September 30, 2024 at the age of 75. Born in Newark, she lived most of her life in Montclair, Spring Lake and Sea Girt before moving to Pine Beach, New Jersey.
Betsy's heart overflowed with love for her family, which extended beyond her immediate relatives to include aunts, uncles, neighbors and many cherished friends. Music, especially the timeless songs of The Beatles, brought her immense joy. She found happiness in her guitar lessons and delighted in playing at family gatherings. Betsy had a special bond with her beloved poodles and enjoyed staying connected with her loved ones through heartfelt calls and letters. She was a gracious host, always welcoming visitors with a kind smile and genuine interest in their stories, families and pets. Betsy was our angel on earth, and her gentle spirit will forever be missed.
She is predeceased by her parents, Robert A. Dennin and Elizabeth Cooney Dennin, and her brother, Robert A. Dennin, Jr. She is survived by her siblings: John, Bart and his wife Pat, David and his husband, Anthony Curreri, Susan and her husband, William Smith, Timothy and his wife, Lisa, Marion and her husband, William Ross and Christopher and his wife, Hilary. She was especially fond of her loving nieces and nephews: Matthew, Tyler, Becky, Jessie, Victoria, Meghan, Will, Kelly, Caitlin, Bart Jr., Grace, Mary, Bridget, James and Rachel.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation, 9:30 am at St Denis Church on Friday October 4, 2024, until 10:00 am when the Mass of Christian Burial will begin. The interment will follow at St Catharine Cemetery, Sea Girt, NJ. In Betsy's compassionate and caring spirit memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
