Elizabeth Mae Meadows Dowell, 90, of Owensboro passed away Sunday, June 17, 2012 at Owensboro Place. Born in Breckinridge County on April 13, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Ira and Stella Clark Meadows; was a member of Hall Street Baptist Church; and had worked as a Senior Companion for GRADD. Mrs. Dowell enjoyed gardening, crocheting, canning jellies, and visiting with friends and family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, John Meadows, and a sister, Mary Partridge.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Regina Dowell of Reynolds Station.
Services are 12 noon Tuesday, June 19, 2012 in the Chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Brother Jim Nelson officiating followed by burial in St. Anthony Cemetery in Brown's Valley. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Tuesday at the funeral home.
