Elizabeth Francka Obituary

Jon Mark Francka - Aug. 25, 1966-Oct. 6, 2025

Elizabeth "Liz" Anne Francka was born in Springfield on Feb. 14, 1959, to Dr. Ron and Nancy (Minor) Silvius. She attended Kickapoo High School in Springfield, graduating class of 1977. She was employed by the Bolivar R-1 School District in the positions of BPS office, Print Shop, BIS Food Service Cashier, and Little Libs Childcare, where she retired after 25+ years of service.
?
After a few years of staying home, she missed working, so she found her dream job at Learn Love Leap Daycare in the "Baby Room" until her health no longer permitted her to work. She enjoyed mowing her yard, cheering for Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, caring for ALL the kids who knew her as Ms. Liz. She also enjoyed going to concerts and casinos, and her favorite thing of all was "getting the family together." Liz will be remembered for her loving kindness, friendliness, caring, ditzy, never-knew-a-stranger personality. She truly was one of a kind.
?
Jon Mark Francka was born in Springfield on Aug. 25, 1966, to Jerry and Joyce (Inglis) Francka. He attended Pleasant Hope High School, graduating class of 1984. He was employed at Conco Companies in Springfield, Missouri. Jon worked there for 25 years until he left to care for his wife. He was a member of the Teamsters Union, Treasurer of the Brighton Cemetery, and participated in multiple poker runs for charity, including his favorite, Toys for Tots. Jon was saved as a young man. He enjoyed many of the same hobbies and activities as Liz including watching his grandchildren play sports, watching the Kansas City Chiefs, going to casinos and concerts, and riding his Harley. Jon will be remembered for his many jokes, pranks, and funny drawings he put in every card he gave.
?
Liz and Jon met each other in 2000 through mutual friends, and were then married on July 14, 2001, in Bolivar. They both loved going on trips, including: Sturgis, Bikes, Blues and BBQ with their friends, and several vacations with family. You hardly ever saw one without the other.
?
Liz was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Silvius. Jon was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Joyce Francka, and infant son, Justin Caleb Francka.
?
They are survived by Ron Silvius; their children, Matt and Erin Francka, Danielle and Cole Emmons, Ally and Josh Murray, Martina Francka, and Mallory Francka; grandchildren, Jacey Francka, Knox Francka, Ryker Murray, Raiden Murray, Madden Francka, Kambree Francka, Blu Francka, Micah Francka, and four grand-dogs. They are also survived by their siblings, Susie and Dale Gormley, Tammy and Rick Davis, Shelly Francka, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
?
A visitation for Jon and Liz will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 13, at Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar.
