Elizabeth Harbison Obituary It is with heavy heart that we announce that Elizabeth J. Harbison 73 years old of Rushville, Indiana passed away on February 22nd 2025. Elizabeth was also known as Liz and Aunt Liza but her favorite name was Mom. Elizabeth is preceded in death by her loving husband Michael W. Harbison, her parents, and twelve siblings.
Elizabeth was born in Juneau Alaska on 07/13/1951. While back in Alaska Elizabeth met the love of her life Michael W. Harbison. Together Michael and Elizabeth birthed three rambunctious boys and had a life full of love and laughter. When asked what her greatest accomplishment was Elizabeth would say "Being a mom a wife and a good sister".
Elizabeth from a young age always had a love for animals especially horses she aspired to be a veterinarian. Elizabeth was an amateur artist who enjoyed painting and drawing. Elizabeth also enjoyed reading, cooking, and spending time with her two dogs Wendy, and Rex as well as watching TV no crime or cooking show went unseen.
Elizabeth is survived by her sister Ruth Rich of Rushville Indiana, her children Michael (Tamara) Harbison of St. Paul Indiana, Samuel (Kris) Harbison of Cut Bank, Montana, Tomas (AnnMarie) Harbison of Connersville, Indiana, her six grandchildren Blake Harbison, Ethan Harbison, Alayna (Alan) Harbison, Baily Harbison, Matthew Harbison, Layne Harbison, and one great-grandchild on the way.
Elizabeth was a beautiful soul whose smile brightened the room wherever she went. Her love for God and conviction in her faith was instilled in everyone she met, as she never walked away or hung up the phone without saying, "God Bless You." Please join us for a Celebration of Life at 6 p.m. on Thursday, February 27th, 2025, at A New Beginning Church, 1024 S Old 3, Rushville, IN 46173.
In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Church in her name.
