Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Hermida, age 75, of Kissee Mills, Missouri, passed away surrounded by family on November 3, 2023. She entered this life November 15, 1947, in Independence, Missouri, the daughter of Dave and Loretta (Hoban) Simon. She was joined in marriage March 12, 1971, to Richard Hermida.
Betty was an avid gameshow watcher and enjoyed reading Danielle Steel books. She loved playing board games, bingo, and cards with family and friends. She was of the Catholic faith and was a great wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be greatly missed.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents; son, Richard T. Hermida; and sisters: Mary Ann Bogle and Barbara Ann Duff.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Richard Hermida; four daughters: Johna (Ernie) Forgey of Ozark, Missouri, Katrina Jones of Ozark, Missouri, Richelle (Jeremy) Keller of Mason Town, Pennsylvania, and Danielle Hermida of Branson, Missouri; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and sister: Judith Ann Simon.
A memorial mass will be held at Our Lady of the Cove Catholic Church, 20 Kimberling Boulevard, Kimberling City, Missouri, with Rev. William W. Hennecke, Jr. officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org). Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
