Elizabeth Hooper Jackson, 94, of Newbern, Tennessee died on Monday, April 15, 2024, at her residence in Newbern, Tennessee.
She was born on July 25, 1929, in Obion, Tennessee, to the late Stanley Hooper and the late Lula Bennett Hooper.
Ms. Elizabeth was a devoted loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, always putting others before herself. She will be remembered by her sweet smile, kindness, and her love for the Lord as she walked upon this earth. Mrs. Jackson was a member of Parr Avenue Church of Christ.
Funeral services for Mrs. Jackson will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, April 18, 2024, in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating
this service will be Bro. Fred Stacey. Interment will follow in Center Cemetery near Newbern. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5:00 PM until
7:00 PM and on Thursday from 2:00 PM until service at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
She leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter, Cindy Jackson Hill (Daren) of Newbern, Tennessee, and she was "Nonnie" to her two grandchildren, Bradley Gray (Tanya) of Newbern, Tennessee and Bethany Petrie (Danny) of Newbern, Tennessee; three great-grandchildren Graylee Petrie, Jackson Gray and Raelyn Petrie, one God-given grandson, Brent Hill and one God-given grandchild Kasey Hill.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-nine years, Joe Frank Jackson and one brother, Stanley Hooper, Jr.
Honoring Mrs. Jackson as pallbearers will be Danny Petrie (assisted by Graylee and Raelyn), Bradley Gray, Jackson Gray, Brent Hill, Howard Harris, Ray Davis, Ben Peevyhouse and Shane Jackson. Honorary pallbearers will be Albert Markham, Lee Austin, Bobby LaRue, Dale Hooper, Bubba Morton, Garry Sanderson and Danny Carpenter.
