Elizabeth Jackson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Jackson-Brooks Funeral Home on Dec. 24, 2025.
Mother has permanently changed her address. She took a flight on Tuesday morning, December 23, 2025, at 12:15 a.m., bound for glory land. She is now resting in the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ. Elizabeth Priester Jackson, lovingly known as "Liz" or "Musha," was the daughter of the late Mr. Judge Edward Priester and Mrs. Lela Polite Priester. She was born on September 9, 1937, in Allendale, South Carolina. Musha received her education in the Allendale County Public School
System. At an early age, she became a member of Calvary Baptist Church, and later moved her membership to Mt. Anna Baptist Church in Aiken County, South Carolina. In 1962, she was united in holy matrimony to Perry Jackson, Sr. Together, they were blessed to raise ten children. She was preceded in death by her children James Jackson, Richard Jackson, Arnold and Alma Kirk. Elizabeth was a faithful servant of the church and community. She served as a member of the Usher Board, Deaconess Board, Women in Action, and the Pairs & Spares ministries. She was also employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), working at the Aiken Nursing Home and Pepper Hill Nursing Home until her retirement. She leaves to cherish her loving memory: her children, Henry Jackson, of North Augusta, SC, Diane T. Crawford, of Alaska, Rebie Moment, Perry Jackson, Jr., Rev. Irish K. Kitchings (Arthur) of Aiken, SC, and Dea. George Kirk (Mary) of Charlotte, NC; 20 grandchildren, 96 great-grandchildren, 29 great-great-grandchildren; a host of cousins and very dear friends; her loving church family; her Godchildren; Lori Wilson and Mary Frances Pope, both of Aiken, SC, and Chris Blair, Maple Heights, OH, and her devoted and caring caregiver, Marilyn Patterson, two special cousins Ms. Meta Hatcher in Aiken, SC and Eddie Polite, Sr. and California. Elizabeth enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, sewing, and traveling. She was a loving and caring person who was cherished by many. She left a lasting impression wherever she went and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
