Elizabeth Clark Kellam

Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Clark "Bet" Kellam, of East Dublin, Georgia, will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at 11 AM at the New Bethel AME Church, 1820 New Buckeye Road in East Dublin. Reverend Cathy Dargan Harper, pastor, will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Kellam was born on Sunday, February 20, 1944, in Wrightsville, Georgia, to Mr. Luther Waters and Mrs. Hattie Dudley Clark. She attended the Dock Kemp School. She was married to the late Frank Kellam, Sr., and they were blessed with four children. She worked in the Custodial Department for the Laurens County Board of Education for over 33 years. She was a diligent worker and she loved her job. Her supervisor was so impressed with her work ethic that he often declared "I wish I had 100 people who worked as hard as she does!". Even in retirement, she still substituted until her health declined. Bet loved attending church. She was a member of the New Bethel AME Church for over 45 years. Following in the footprints of Mrs. Eva Knight Coney. She loved singing in the choir, listening to gospel music, and going to churches to sing in the nearby communities.
Her biggest joy came from her grandchildren. She enjoyed going to family outing, and planned trips with her family and friends.
On Tuesday, October 14, 2025, Mrs. Kellam peacefully entered into eternal rest surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Rufus Kellam, Sr., two sons, Frank Kellam, Jr., and Knight Kellam, and a, daughter, Louise Kellam, and a granddaughter, LaTunja Kellam.
She leaves to cherish her memories a daughter, Juanita Kellam Harvey, her sisters, Ruby Brown and Delores Fields of Wilmington, Delaware, Jannie Mae Clark and Lillie B. Outlaw of Jacksonville, Florida, sister-in-law, Linda Outlaw of Jacksonville, Florida, seven grandchildren, LaShundra Foreman, LaTisha Foreman, Timothy Harvey, Baja Harvey, Edward Harvey, Michael Harvey, Kamal Kellam, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
