Elizabeth Jane Kiser, 91, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2024. She was born on June 22, 1933, in Surgoinsville, TN, to the late Willard Neal and Tula Evelyn Barker Bellamy.
Jane was a devoted member of Cheraw First Baptist Church, where she actively participated in the Woman’s Missionary Union (WMU) and contributed to the Youth Program, as well as serving in the nursery for over 20 years. Following her career as a secretary in an optometrist office, she continued to make a significant impact in the community by working at Kiser Funeral Home, where her compassion and dedication helped support numerous families over the years. Her contributions were instrumental in shaping the warm and supportive environment of the funeral home.
In her personal life, Jane had a passion for crocheting and smocking, and she was known for her exceptional cooking skills, particularly her famous bread, affectionately earning her the title of the “Bread Lady.” Above all, Jane cherished her family, and the time spent with them.
Along with her parents, listed above, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of 64 years, Bob Kiser, her sisters, Mary Saul, Joann Haynes, Barbara Penley, and Evelyn Carter.
Mrs. Jane leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son, Kip Kiser (Janice) of Chesterfield, SC; a daughter, Kathy Kiser Brown (Bill) of Wasilla, AK; grandchildren, Ashley Brown, Adam Brown, Andrew Brown, Rachel McGee, and Graham Kiser; and ten great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 13, 2024, at Kiser Funeral Home in Cheraw, SC.
