LIMA -- Elizabeth 'Beth' Ann Kistler, age 62, was called into the presence of her Lord and Saviour on October 10, 2025, at 3:54 pm, with the love of her family by her side. On April 3, 1982, Darrel and Elizabeth were married here in Lima, OH. Her parents, Paul and Marilyn Diller preceded her in death.
Elizabeth was a graduate of Bath High School in 1981. She was a licensed cosmetologist since 1981. She also worked at Mercy-Health St. Rita's Medical Center as a certified phlebotomist and also loved helping her daughter, Amanda, at My Chic Boutique here in Lima. On July 10, 1978, Elizabeth made the best decision of her life when she repented of her sins and asked Lord Jesus into her heart. She loved serving the Lord in earlier years by helping out and being involved in different areas of the church.
Elizabeth and her husband, Darrel, are the owners of Kenny's Auto Wrecking and Kar Ville Auto Sales. In their spare time, they enjoyed collecting muscle cars, vintage signs, gas pumps, and memorabilia. Her greatest and dearest joys were her children, Amanda and Joshua, and absolutely loved watching her seven grandchildren grow up and participate in all of their sports and other activities. One of the hobbies Elizabeth, Darrel, and their family enjoyed was biking. They shared many wonderful times together doing that.
In 2023, Elizabeth, Darrel, and their children rode in the Pelotonia in Columbus, OH, to raise money for cancer research. It was a very special time that will not be forgotten. Elizabeth also loved her flowers and cared for them in her English Cottage Garden that she and her husband built together and worked in it for 19 years. Darrel was her dearest friend and husband, and a great support to her. Elizabeth attended Open Door Baptist Church here in Lima, OH.
In addition to her husband, Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Amanda (Matthew) Pitson, and their children: Kalob, Ethan, Ella, and Gaige Pitson, her son, Joshua Kistler, and his children: Kailey Kistler, Braxton Kistler, and Peyton Kistler; her siblings: Richard (Joyce) Diller and Mark (Lora) Diller. Her extended family includes her brothers in-law and sisters in-law: Wanda (Brad) Augsburger, Brian (Mary) Kistler, Sheila (David) Poppe, Randy (Danna) Kistler, and sisters in-law, Deb Kistler and Karen Kistler. She was preceded in death by brothers in-law, Stan Kistler and Duane Kistler.
There will be a funeral service held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at 11:00 am at the Lima Baptist Temple. Officiating the service will be Pastors Gary Homan and William Turner. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery following the service.
Friends may visit on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and again on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral, all at the Lima Baptist Temple. Any donations may be made to The James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute or the Open Door Baptist Church. The family would like to give an extra thank you to Dr. David Leibner, Michelle Angelis, Dr. Valerie Grignol, Dr. Michael Gong, Dr. Jeff Fowler, and all the nurses and staff for their exceptional care at The James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute for the last 7 years.
