Elizabeth "Bess, Liz, Betty, Beth" Korn, 89, passed into eternal life on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, surrounded by loved ones in the comfort of her own home. She was born December 31, 1935 in Marinette to the late Clifford and Barbara (Overman) Harding.
Elizabeth graduated from Marinette High School in 1954. And continued her education throughout her life, earning twenty-two Certificates of Accomplishment. She attended both the University of Wisconsin and NWTC.
She was a devoted servant of God and found joy in her role as an ordained Deacon at Grace Episcopal Church in Menominee, Michigan. Elizabeth had a deep love for the piano and dancing, spending time with her family, and took a special interest in crocheting, creating beautiful pieces that will be cherished by her loved ones. She also enjoyed traveling, camping, crafting in her early years, and learning new skills. She found joy in visiting the zoo or museum, and watching Disney movies with her grandchildren. But most, Elizabeth loved to fly, never more so than when she was at the controls herself.
Betty is survived by her son Richard (Nora) Rohrer; daughter Debra (Stuart) Lyonsdove; step-daughters, Leslie Bates, and her beloved "Suzie Girl" Korn; grandchildren Mathew (Tabitha) Armbruster and Malachi Lyonsdove; as well as numerous extended grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her bonus family, and cherished Grace Church community.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Joanne, husband Floyd Armbruster, son Kim Armbruster, and grandsons Jared and Adam Armbruster. She was also proceeded in death by her husband Paul Korn and brother Vernon Watkins.
Friends and Family can gather in honor of Elizabeths life at Thielen Funeral Home in Marinette on Saturday, April 5th, from 2pm-3:30pm. A prayer service will be held at 3:30.
