Kupka, Elizabeth Ruth
Passed away peacefully on Friday June 9th, 2023, in her home surrounded by her family at the age of 93. She was born on October 15th, 1929 to Wendolin Joseph and Elizabeth "Betty" Weigel. On June 14th, 1952, Ruth married Robert "Bob" Edward Kupka at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. They met at a dance at the Eagles Ballroom and fell in love at first sight. The couple enjoyed 53 years together prior to his death on April 4th, 2006.
Ruth is survived by her daughter Beverly Abunegila, granddaughters Danyal (Adam) Bryant and Feryal Zagrodnik and great-grandchildren Nolan Zagrodnik, Kaden Zagrodnik and Marley Bryant as well as her sister Margarette June (Frank) Hallfeld. She is preceded in death by her late husband Robert Kupka Sr., sons Michael and Robert Jr, sister Florence (Frank) Giordana, her parents, and her stepfather Joseph Phillip "Papa Joe" Egerer.
Ruth loved being a mother and volunteered her time with the boy scouts and girl scouts with her children. She and Bob enjoyed going camping and fishing with the family. Ruth loved to crochet and has made countless Afghans over her lifetime. She was an exceptional mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was incredibly kind and patient and loved by all who knew her.
Funeral Services to be held at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin on Saturday June 24, 2023 at 2:00 PM – 3:45 PM. Service at 4:00 PM. Burial on Monday June 26, 2023 at Holy Cross Cemetery in Kaukauna, Wisconsin.
