Elizabeth M. “Liz” Laughlin, age 82, of Perham, MN, died Saturday, September 5, 2009, at the Perham Memorial Nursing Home.
Liz was born March 28, 1927, in Perham, Minnesota, the daughter of George and Clara (Ledermann) Guck. She attended St. Joe School and graduated from Perham High School. Liz was united in marriage to Richard Laughlin on September 18, 1951, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in rural Perham. Their marriage was blessed with seven children, fifteen grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. Liz lived her life as an example of service to others. She was a loving wife for over fifty years, daycare provider to ten of her fifteen grandchildren, a homemaker, baker, seamstress, gardener, house cleaner, and she provided many babies with their first blanket. Liz loved crocheting and knitting, puzzles, card games with her grandkids, as well as being an avid Twins fan. Her faith was very strong and her rosary was her constant companion.
Liz is survived by six children, Bob (Karen) Laughlin, Perham, MN; Ron (Laure) Laughlin, Bluffton, MN; Pat (John) Curtis, Minneapolis, MN; Ann (Craig) Branby, Perham, MN; Diane (Ron) Fritchman, Perham, MN; and Connie (Bob) Maijala, Perham, MN; fifteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Bernice Laughlin and Odilia Riestenberg; five brothers, Hank, Paul, Lambert, Raymond, and Richard; and one sister-in-law, MaryAnn Guck.
Preceding Liz in death are her parents; husband, Richard; infant daughter, Susan; and a brother, Lawrence Guck.

I am truly sorry to hear that aunt elizabeth has passed on. Know that are
hearts ache and that are prayers are
with you. She truly has lived a long full
life and that she touched all are lives.
