Elizabeth Ann Spurgeon Walden, age 93, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2023. She was born on January 25, 1930, to her late parents, James Taylor Spurgeon, and Ila Ann Harrison Spurgeon. Elizabeth, more affectionately known as “Libby,” was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Hugh Harrison Spurgeon, James Taylor Spurgeon III; and sister, Lois Murner. She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda Gray (Ed), Susan Walden, and Lisa Williams (Ronnie); grandchildren, David Gray (Shelley), Nathan Gray (Bethany), Daniel Gray, Cole Williams (Allie), and Ashlan Williams Bonnell (Andrew); and great grandchildren, Brooklyn Elizabeth Bonnell, Londyn Ann Bonnell, Lucas Everett Williams, Micah Joel Gray, and Elizabeth Williams due in early December.
The love and kindness she had for her family had no limits. She touched so many lives in many special ways, putting her faith first throughout her life.
There will be a Visitation on Tuesday October 17, 2023 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Wednesday October 18, 2023 from 10:00 am until the Celebration of Life 11:30 am all held at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home 9090 Highway 100, Nashville, TN 37221.
