Elizabeth “Liz” Antonson Hutson, age 90, from Granite Falls, Minnesota passed away Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Avera Granite Falls Care Center. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, September 26, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Rock Haven in Granite Falls. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Granite Falls.
Liz was born May 29, 1934 at the Montevideo Hospital, the daughter of Louis and Ruth (Norgard) Haugen. She graduated from the Granite Falls High School in 1952.
Liz was united in marriage to Ervin Antonson on August 5, 1952 in Alexandria, Minnesota. They were blessed with five children and they enjoyed spending 46 years together until Erv passed away in 1998. In July of 1999, Liz married John Hutson who later passed in 2010.
Liz worked for Sears in Granite Falls and then at Victor Fluid Power for many years until she retired. She then returned to work in the insurance field.
Liz was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, the Hospital Auxiliary and was a campfire Girls Scout leader. She loved traveling to the Black Hills and all of the camping adventures over the years. It brightened Liz’s day to spend time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Liz is survived by her children, Judy (John) Timm, David Antonson, Kay (Johnny) Magnuson, Debbie (Lyle) Ladner-Jaenisch, Mary (Mike) Kyllo; stepson, John (Jillian) Hutson; grandchildren, Amy Strait, Mike (Lacey) Timm, Kevin (Melissa) Timm, Stacey Timm, Emily Antonson, Leah (special friend, Dave) Antonson, Cory (Laura) Magnuson, Jacob (special friend, Haylea) Magnuson, Kelly Krogstad, Amanda Ladner, Jason (Kerri) Schuler, Ashley (Ryan) Luepke; 30 great grandchildren, one great, great grandson; special friend, Dave; sister, Barb Schoen; as well as other relatives and friends.
Liz is preceded in death by her husbands, Erv Antonson and John Hutson; son-in-law, Steve Ladner; daughter-in-law, RaNae Antonson; granddaughter-in-law, Krystal Magnuson; great grandson, Lincoln Timm.
