I met Betty about 19 years ago when she and her friend, Helene, volunteered at my Foster Center for stray and unwanted cats until they could be adopted into loving homes. We continued to stay in touch over the years, even as recently as a few weeks ago when we had our pleasant Sunday morning phone conversations.
Betty was a caring, giving and devoted lady. She loved her family and her many friends, her cats and dogs, and the Congregation at the Blue Church. When she could no longer drive her car, I would pick her up for lunch...she always wanted to go to Miller's Ale House in Springfield for their twin lobster tails! Like so many of her friends, I will miss her dearly.
Rest in Peace, dear Betty.
Love,
Jackie (Jacqueline Metzler)
