Elizabeth Nichole Kollarik

Elizabeth Nichole (Peavy) Kollarik, 42, passed away on May 18, 2025, surrounded by her family - the people she loved most and who loved her back fiercely. Born premature at just 27 weeks on October 21, 1982, to Marlon and Debbie Peavy, from the very beginning, she lived life unapologetically to the beat of her own drum - often a very loud, hilarious, and brilliant beat.

A proud graduate of Blountstown High School, Class of 2001, Nichole never stopped learning. Whether it was tutoring a struggling student, explaining something complicated in a way that suddenly made it simple, or deep-diving into obscure facts for fun, Nichole loved knowledge - and loved sharing it even more.

She met Jerry Kollarik in 2001, and in 2002, they were married and began their great adventure - moving from place to place with the Navy before finally landing back home in Blountstown in 2011 with their son, Aaron. In 2015, Nichole gave birth to her second son, Iann - affectionately known as the caboose of the family.

In true Nichole fashion, she didn't slow down. In 2020, she completed her education and testing to become a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer - a job that let her combine her deep empathy, sharp mind, and occasional love of morbid humor (because of course she had some).

Nichole was a woman of many interests and talents. She played the trumpet in the BHS band, was a voracious reader, outwitted many a video game boss, and listened to many political podcasts. Her love of music, shared with her mom Debbie, spanned genres, decades, and moods. She was the kind of person who never met a stranger and made friends everywhere she went.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Debbie Peavy; her beloved Papa Elliott Whittaker; grandparents Carlos and Vergie Peavy; her Uncle Larry Whittaker; her cousin and soulmate in mischief, Dawn Murphy; and dear friend Jack Stewart - all of whom are surely organizing a loud and joyful welcome party on the other side.

Left to remember her are her husband of 23 years, Jerry Kollarik; her sons, Aaron and Iann, who carry her spark and sass; her father, Marlon Peavy; brother, Travis Peavy (Niki); grandparents, Lucille and Robert McCoy; aunts, Peggy Register (Robert) and Sharon Willis; sister-in-law, Rose McKinley (Kevin); nieces, Julie McKinley and Lesleigh Peavy; nephews, Josh McKinley and Logan Peavy; true best friends, Tonya Forbes and Shannon Lee Lock; her loving dogs and many cousins, extended family members, and friends who will never forget her laugh, her kindness, or her insistence on being unapologetically herself.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Corinth Baptist Church in Hosford. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM Central Time, followed by the service at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow at Poplar Head Baptist Cemetery in Clarksville.
