Elizabeth Stoltz Obituary

Elizabeth L. (Lippolis) Stoltz, 100, of Vandergrift, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 28, 2025. Born Feb. 20, 1925, in Vandergrift, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Lippolis and Bernice (Sabella) Lippolis. Elizabeth was a 1943 graduate of Vandergrift High School and worked for Schenley Distillery for a time before retiring to raise her children. She was a Girl Scout leader when her girls were young and a member of St. Gertrude Roman Catholic Church and a former member of the CD of A & Rosary Society. Elizabeth was an avid reader and loved music and dance (and instilled that passion in her children), as well as musicals and ballet. She was a big Steelers and Pirates fan, and enjoyed watching movies on the Turner Classics Channel. Elizabeth loved cooking and was known for her scrumptious lasagna and gnocchi and memorable Sunday dinners. She most loved being with her family. In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Leo O. Stoltz, who passed away on Feb. 6, 2005; and her sister, Victoria Milsom. Elizabeth is survived by her children, Cheryl (Paul) Randolph of Lower Burrell, Dennis (Robin) Stoltz of Vandergrift, and Diana Stoltz of New Kensington; step-grandchildren, Robert Fusillo Jr., Dana (Frank Frickanisce) Aul, and Joshua Randolph; great-grandchildren, Laney and Ava Aul; special niece and goddaughter, Denise Dyer; and her beloved cat, Sabella. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2025, in BRADY-CURRAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES INC., 429 Franklin Ave., Vandergrift. Parting prayers of transfer will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 2, 2025, in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Gertrude Roman Catholic Church, 303 Franklin Ave., Vandergrift, PA 15690, with Father Alan Polczynski as celebrant. Entombment in Greenwood Memorial Park Mausoleum, Lower Burrell. The family would like to offer a special thanks to AHN Home Hospice for their care and support during Elizabeth's final days. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to St. Gertrude at the above listed address or to Animal Protectors of Allegheny Valley, 730 Church St., New Kensington, PA 15068.
