Elizabeth Ann Stouffer

Elizabeth Ann Stouffer, born on November 30, 1936, in Powhatan Point, Ohio, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2025, in Barnesville, Ohio, at the age of 89.

Elizabeth was retired from Bellaire Medical Foundation, where she worked at both the Powhatan Community Clinic and Bellaire Clinic as a Medical Records Clerk.

In her retirement years, Elizabeth was an avid learner with many interests. Her love of sewing and design led her to handbag design and quilting, which she gifted to family and friends. Gardening interests included hydroponics, which provided tomatoes and cucumbers in abundance. She had a great appreciation for nature's beauty and loved flowers and birds.

Elizabeth was a life-long member of St. John's United Church of Christ on German Ridge, where she loved singing with the church choir. During her life, she played piano and organ for Sunday School and worship services, as well as serving on committees and church council.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph, and Ethel Ramser; husbands Doane Ross (d. 1972) and William Stouffer (d. 1993); a son, Doane Ross Jr.; two sisters, Justine Ramser and Rose Berry; a grandson, Jed Ross.

She is survived by her loving children, a son, Darren Ross (Juanita Dixon) of Jamestown, OH, and a daughter, Amity Miller (Rick) of Barnesville, OH. Elizabeth also leaves behind a sister, Glenna Texler, along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, a nephew, and Rachel Roush (girlfriend of Doane Ross, Jr., deceased).

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the wonderful caregivers and staff of The Enclave in Barnesville. Your compassion and care extended to Elizabeth and our family during her stay was beyond measure and gave us great comfort.

In accordance with Elizabeth's wishes, there is no visitation and a memorial service celebrating her life will be held at a future date at the convenience of the family.
