Elizabeth "Libby" Wobbleton, 72, of Tarboro died Saturday, May 18, 2024 at the ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville, NC. She was born in Martin County, January 8, 1952, to the late Lloyd and Aurelia Coffield.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday, May 22 at Penders Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Hendricks officiating.
She was preceded in death by five brothers James Hosea, Charles Alfred, Francis Samuel, Henry "Pop" Wade, and William Jesse.
Libby was a faithful member of Penders Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. She worked at Long Manufacturing until its closing. Libby's next career was as a Certified Nurse Assistant 2, using those skills she worked at Vidant Health Care Clinic until she retired. She loved teaching and sharing her love of Jesus with everyone. Libby also loved cooking and serving others, but most of all she loved her family! She was a dedicated wife, mother, and sister.
Survivors include her husband Philip "Phil" Wayne Wobbleton and her daughter Mary Elizabeth. She is also survived by her sister Joyce Sherrill (Bob) of Boone, NC. Also surviving are a number of nieces, nephews, and an abundance of close friends.
Visitation will be at Carlisle Funeral Home from 7-9 pm on Tuesday, May 21.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Penders Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.
