Elizabeth "Betty" Zeigler, 65, of North Baltimore, died at 12:40 p.m., Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay. She was born on March 17, 1960, in Marysville, OH to the late Rev. Paul H. and Joyce (Gineman) Eichar. She married her high school sweetheart, James "Jim" Zeigler, Jr. on December 6, 1980, and he survives.
Betty is also survived by her children: Jess (John) Pearson of Delaware, James (Jamie) Zeigler, of North Baltimore and John (Kristina) Zeigler of Deshler; mother-in-law, Mary Lou Zeigler of North Baltimore; brother, Jon (Rose) Eichar of North Baltimore; sisters: Miriam (Hank) Flores of North Baltimore and Denise Flis of Edmond, OK; grandchildren: Ruth, Gabe, Johhon, Jayme, James Jr., Madilynn, and Leighton; several nieces and nephews.
Betty retired in November of 2023, her last job being with Meijer. She also formerly worked for the North Baltimore Food Center, Macy's in Bowling Green, North Baltimore I.G.A., babysitting, North Baltimore High School, and the Wood County Unemployment Office.
Betty was former Sunday School Teacher and Choir member of the Church of the Good Shepherd United Methodist in North Baltimore. She was currently attending Basic Truth Church in Cygnet.
Betty cherished most her vacations with Jim and her family, especially the time spent at the beach. She also enjoyed baking Christmas candy and cookies to share with everyone, as well as attending her grandkids' sports and events, but most of all watching her grandkids.
The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to Bridge Home Health and Hospice for all of the care they provided to Betty.
A graveside service for family and close friends will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 16, 2025 in New Maplewood Cemetery, North Baltimore. Pastor Jim Baney officiating.
Arrangements are being handled by SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore.
Memorial contributions may be made to Basic Truth Church, Cygnet.
