Betty was married to George Benedict Cullison on April 30, 1949 until his death on April 8, 1996. She raised 4 adoring children. Betty enjoyed her years as an Army officer's wife while George pursued his military career, living in many states as well as Japan and Germany. An active member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Wheaton, Betty served as a member of St. Catherine's Guild and as the principal wedding coordinator for many years. She oversaw the wedding of her three daughters at Trinity. Betty also worked for many years at the Glen Ellyn Clinic in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. Her favorite pastime was playing bridge with her many friends from Trinity and Dartmouth Village, Wheaton. She is survived by her sister Doris Chambers (Frank) Chiaretta of Fullerton, CA; four children: Chris (Lynne) Cullison of Tega Cay, SC, Marcia (John) Lucas of Los Alamos, NM, Jane (Rod) Reid of Champaign, IL, Susan (Jeff) Wallace of Champaign, IL; two stepsons: John (Debbie) Cullison of Concord, CA and Geoff (Shel) Cullison of Arlington, VA; grandchildren: Jay, Carrie, Mary, Betsy, Robert, Michael, Nicholas, Kaylie, Lindsey, Ryan, Eric, Christopher, Kevin, and Andrew; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband George, parents Lucille and Don Chambers, and brother Billy Chambers. A Memorial Service and Interment of ashes will be held Friday, August 23, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in Trinity Chapel at Trinity Episcopal Church, 130 N. West Street, Wheaton, IL.
