Obituary of Ella June Beaver
Ella June Beaver, age 90, of Lexington, SC passed away on October 29, 2021.
Mrs. Beaver was born on April 26, 1931 in Statesville, NC to Wallace Fritz Burgess and Addie Harrison Burgess. June graduated from Statesville Senior High School in 1949. Later that year, she married her high school sweetheart, Houts C. Beaver. They were happily married for 66 years until his death in 2016.
June was very creative and loved sewing, decorating, crocheting and flower arranging. She always had a beautiful flower garden.
Her most rewarding accomplishment was her 24 years of work at CBN as a Prayer Minister for the 700 Club. Her greatest joy was telling others about Jesus and his love.
The Bible verse that she considered her commission is Isaiah 42:5-9.
"This is what God the Lord says-the Creator of the heavens, who stretches them out, who spreads out the Earth with all that springs from it, who gives breath to its people, and life to those who walk in it: 'I the Lord, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles, to open eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness. I am the Lord and that is my name! I will not yield my glory to another or my praise to idols. See, the former things have taken place, and new things I declare; before they spring into being I announce them to you.'"
Surviving are her daughters, Deborah Stallings (Vaughn) and Lori Bradley (Ed); her four grandchildren, Vaughn Mark Stallings (Jessica), Matthew James Stallings, Daniel Edward Bradley (Jessica) and Sarah Elizabeth Bradley; and her three great-grandchildren, Sunday Hazel Stallings, Yates Daniel Bradley and Emilia Kate Bradley. June was preceded in death by her brother, William Wallace Burgess and her sister, Margaret Burgess McKee.
A funeral service for June Beaver will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at Christian Life Church, (Brown Chapel) 2700 Bush River Rd. Columbia, SC 29210. Burial will follow in Woodridge Memorial Park in Lexington. The family will receive friends at Brown Chapel from 1:00-2:00 on Tuesday, November 2nd prior to the service.
