With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ella Wayne Clark, a beloved mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother. Ella passed away peacefully on November 14, 2024, at the age of 81, surrounded by her loving family.
Ella was born on November 12, 1943, and spent her life surrounded by the people she loved most—her family. Ella was the loving wife of Leon Clark, to whom she was married in 1963. Together, they shared 61 years of love, partnership, and devotion.
Her greatest joy came from caring for others, and she devoted herself fully to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her unwavering love and dedication will be cherished forever. Ella was always there for the important moments—whether attending every ball game or making sure no one ever went hungry. She took great pride in feeding her family, and it was almost as though she took it personally when someone wasn’t hungry. Her meals were not just about food—they were a reflection of her heart, and she made sure everyone was well-fed and well-loved.
Her face would light up whenever she saw a baby, and her joy in seeing the younger generations grow was unmatched. Ella Wayne’s warmth, care, and the strength of her presence made her a cherished cornerstone of her family.
She has a passion for nature, finding joy in all plants and flowers. Her green thumb was a reflection of her nurturing personality.
As we remember Ella Wayne Clark, we celebrate a life filled with cherished memories of time spent with family and friends. Her legacy of kindness and love will continue to resonate within the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
She is survived by her spouse of 61 years, Leon Clark; children, John Troy Clark and wife Lisa, Leann Gaston and husband Mike; grandchildren, Holli Cooke and husband Tyson, Sara Pitchford, John McAree and wife Misty, Heather Hartke and husband Jon, Jake Gaston, Shay McAree, Tyler Clark and wife Paula; great-grandchildren, Jax Gaston, Rhett Cooke, Madilynn McAree, Leon Hartke, Riley Cooke, Jase McAree, Wyatt Clark; nieces and nephews, Cherry Alexander and husband Philip, Stanley Garner and wife Roxanne, Joey Garner and wife Juli.
Ella is preceded in death by her parents, Troy Truett Hogue and Minnie Lee Ivie, and sister, Martha Garner.
