Ella Faye Gregg, age 70, passed away June 25, 2024 at her home. Faye was born October 19, 1953 in Elkhart, IN to the late Ernest and Bonnie Stout. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Stout, Sr. and her infant son.

 

Faye enjoyed sitting on her porch, gathered with family and friends and listening to her girls sing. She was a great cook and liked canning. She also loved music and was a mother to many. Faye retired after 27 years as an administrative assistant at the Johnson County Sheriff’s Department. She was also a devoted member of Sink Valley Missionary Baptist Church.

 

Those left to cherish her memories include her husband, Terry Gregg; daughters, Tonya Proffitt and husband Ethen, Jenny Jones and husband Scotty; brother, Ronnie Stout; grandchildren, Jacob Proffitt and Colby Jones; aunt, Villa Sparks; special sister, Karen Moore; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

 

A graveside service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 28, 2024 at Rock Springs Cemetery with Pastors Harvey White, RL Poole and Roy Wilson officiating. Pallbearers will be Jacob Proffitt, Ethen Proffitt, Scotty Jones, Colby Jones, Larry Stout, and Benji Stout. Honorary pallbearer is Ed Fletcher. For those who wish to follow in procession, please meet at the funeral home by 5:00 p.m.

 

At other times, friends and family may visit the home at 3955 Sink Valley Road, Butler TN 37640.

 

Memorial donations may be made to Sink Valley Missionary Baptist Church Fellowship Hall Fund, 4672 Sink Valley Rd, Butler TN 37640.

 

The family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice, especially Nurse, Gail and nurse, Nacole at Johnson City Medical Center.
