Ella May Harrison, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on October 19, 2025, in Columbus, Ohio. She was born on July 1, 1954, in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. Ella dedicated over 35 years of her life to being a nursing assistant at various nursing homes, where her kind and patient nature shined through as she worked closely with her patients.
Ella will be remembered for her big smile and her loving personality. She cherished her family and loved nothing more than spoiling her grandchildren: Kristen, Devin, Marissa, and Kolton. She was also blessed with a great-granddaughter, Kennedy, who brought her much joy. Ella enjoyed visiting friends and spending time at home. She was an avid fan of soap operas and loved working with her patients, making lasting connections along the way.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Steve; daughter, Traci "TO" O'Connor; son, Harold (Tonya) O'Connor; sisters, Esther Stimmel, Cynthia Stimmel, and Brenda (Terry) Hill; brother, James Stimmel; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. Ella's best friends, Shannon and Becky, will also miss her dearly.
Ella was preceded in death by her parents, Leland and Ella (Maust) Stimmel; a brother, Buddy Stimmel; and a sister, Sandy Stimmel.
A visitation will be held on October 23, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest located at 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123. Ella's warmth and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
