Ella Mae Dingess Ingram, 92, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2025, at Augusta Health in Fishersville.
She was born on August 4, 1933, in Chapmanville, West Virginia to the late Victor Farmer and Dixie Butcher Dingess.
Ella loved spending time in her flower garden and took great joy in watching the birds that visited her yard. She also enjoyed the quiet challenge of working crossword puzzles.
Before her retirement, Ella was employed at Smith’s Transfer in Verona, where she served as both a supervisor and rate clerk. Following retirement, she remained active in the community through her work at Shipplett’s Cleaners.
Ella was a woman of faith and last attended Victory Worship Center in Staunton.
She is survived by her daughter, Kimberleigh Anne Ingram; her sister, Mary Ann Dingess Casiday, her grandchildren, Nicole Hostetter and Kristin Hostetter (Jason Jordan); her great grandchildren, Alontrae, Jaxon, and Aleigha; her special niece, Christy Corbin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Charles “Duke” Arvil and Mac Arthur Dingess; and her sisters, Anetta Carolyn Dingess Shipe, Lois Evelyn Dingess Conrad, Pauline “Polly” Dingess Goodwin, and Bonnie Elouise Dingess Howes.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday, October 13, 2025, at Henry Funeral Home in Staunton.
