Ella Mae Johnson

Ella Mae Johnson, age 94, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, formerly of Marianna, died Friday, January 30, 2026, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.

Mrs. Johnson was born January 9, 1932, in McCrory, Arkansas, and was the daughter of Elmer Ashburn and Gertrude Moore Ashburn. She was a housewife and a member of the First United Pentecostal Church in Marianna..

Mrs. Johnson married R. C. Johnson in 1951, and he preceded her in death in 1984. She is survived by four sons; Gary Johnson, and wife, Cindy, Greg Johnson, and wife Lisa, Rickey Johnson, and Nickey Johnson, and Amy, two daughters; Teresa Johnson and Becky Richardson, and husband, Buddy, one brother; Bobby Ashburn, a son-in-law, Gary Sandefur, and nine granddaughters; Cheryl Pizaro, January Lane, Emma Johnson, Sherry Flahrity, April Robinson, Misty Holloway, Andrea Harry, Christie St.Clair, and Shawna Tyner, nine grandsons; Michael Harrington, Johnny Cardwell, Jeremy Harrington, Lance Cardwell, Doug Johnson, Paul Johnson, Josh Richardson, Steven Johnson, and Jeff Johnson, forty great-grandchildren, and sixteen great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Sandefur, one grandson, Chayne Cardwell, and her daughter-in-law, Tina Johnson.

Services will be held at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 2:00 P.M., Friday, with burial in Marianna Memorial Park Cemetery in Marianna. Visitation will be Friday, 1:00 P.M., until the time of the service. Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
