Ella J. Miller, age 92, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 20, 2022, following a period of declining health.
She was born in Wayne County, Ohio, on February 4, 1930 to the late John and Jemima (Hostetler) Miller. She married Eli C. Miller on October 2, 1949. He preceded her in death on May 17, 2001.
She was preceded in death by her 4 sisters, Ada, Mary Ann, Lizzie, and Martha; 2 brothers, Eli, and Robert; 3 grandchildren, and 1 daughter-in-law.
She is survived by her children, Bill (Mary) Miller of Mammoth Cave, Kentucky; Marvin (Debbie) Miller of Taylorsville, Kentucky; Crist (Lovina) Miller of Cannelburg, Indiana; Marie (Raymond) Miller of Sugarcreek, Ohio; Mary Ann (Harlan) Steiner of Fredericksburg, Ohio; 17 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Ella was a member of United Dayspring Church for many years. She really enjoyed going to church and attended whenever her health permitted.
Ella loved her dog Gracie, and feeding the birds was one of her favorite pastimes.
She will be remembered for her spunky attitude, keen sense of humor, and love of people.
Friends may call on Tuesday, June 21 from 4 to 7 p.m. at United Dayspring Church in Berlin where services will be held on Wednesday, June 22nd at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Berlin Township Cemetery.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to everyone who offered care and support during Grandma's final journey. Special thanks to Lifecare Hospice and the incredible staff at Greenfield. You all went above and beyond the call of duty, and we will always be grateful for you.
