Ava, Missouri
Ella Reese Stewart, 8 years, 9 months, 10 days old, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2024, at St. Louis Children's Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri with her loving family by her side.
Ella was born June 9, 2015, in Springfield, Missouri to Nichlas Ryan and Kelsey Victoria (Smith) Stewart.
She was a happy third grade student at the Ava Elementary School. Ella was very outgoing. She loved being outdoors, and she loved people. She adored her dogs and her baby calf. Ella was a joy, and she never complained through her illness. She was an amazing little girl, and her spirit will live on.
Ella is survived by her parents, Kelsey and Gary, and Nichlas and Debra; her big brother, Blake; her step sister, Brianna; her grandparents, Kathy Smith and Vic Smith, Rollan and Debra Stewart; uncles and aunt, Stephen and Jami Stewart, and Eric Smith, extended family and many friends.
A private family gathering will be held for Ella at Clinkingbeards. A celebration of life will be at a later date and time. The family wishes to honor this sweet girl by helping other children. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ella's memory to St. Louis Children's Hospital. Tribute gifts can be made online at stlouischildrens.org/donate or by mailing a check to St. Louis Children's Hospital Foundation 1001 Highlands Plaza Drive West, Suite 160 St. Louis, Missouri 63110. Checks should be made to St. Louis Children's Hospital with Ella's name in the memo.
