Ellen Arciello

Ellen Arciello, 86, of Massillon, died peacefully on March 2, 2023. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on October 10, 1936, to the late Henry and Florence (Rusk) Hunt.
She began her career as a nurse in New York City and when she relocated to Massillon with her husband Michael, Ellen became a beloved school nurse at St. Mary's Catholic School. She worked as a nurse for over 40 dedicated years.
Ellen was also an avid fan of Ohio sports, especially The Ohio State Buckeyes. When she was not cheering on her favorite teams, Ellen enjoyed the time she spent with her friends at card club playing bridge. She also enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, shopping, and watching Jeopardy!
She was a loving mother, grandmother, and a friend to many, who will be deeply missed.
Ellen is survived by her children, Megan (Patrick) Walsh, David Arciello and Greg (Ann) Arciello; grandchildren, Eamonn, Carter (Emma), Isabel and Audrey Walsh; Alyssa (Josh) Mitchell; Alexis (Dustin) Conrad; Madeline (Brian) Shannon; and Maelan Arciello; great-grandchildren, Lucy Mitchell and Marcus and Maddox Conrad.
In addition to her parents, Ellen was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Michael J. Arciello.
The family will receive friends on March 8, 2023, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Massillon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow promptly at 11:30 am and burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery.
