Ellen Faye Gaskins

Ellen Faye Stox Gaskins, 88, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 29, 2025.

A graveside service will be held at Pinewood Memorial Park Mausoleum on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at 11 A.M. A visitation will be held from 10 – 11 AM prior to the service at the Mausoleum.

Ellen was an extremely dedicated and loving wife who greatly cherished her family. She was very strong-willed and outspoken, never shy about sharing her thoughts and ensuring her point was heard, regardless of whether others wanted to hear it. Ellen enjoyed company and conversations, bringing warmth to those around her. She loved flowers and gardening, especially in her younger years. A fantastic cook, she particularly loved fried chicken and had a special BBQ chicken recipe that was truly exceptional. Ellen farmed her whole life, working hard alongside her husband on the farm and taking great pride in her contributions. Later in life, her true love was her dog Cookie, whom she pampered and worried about constantly for 10 years, sometimes even making her grandchildren a bit jealous of the attention the dog received.

Ellen is predeceased by her husband, Marvin Brown Gaskins; and her parents Robert & Novella Stox.

She is survived by her brothers, John, Jepp & wife Blanche, Joseph & wife Brenda; daughters, Kay & Rita; grandchildren, Kevin, Ronald, Alexis, and Amy; great-grandchildren, Mariah, Zynasia, Patrice, Emma, Clay, and Kacie; and great-great-grandchildren, Laken, Oakley, and J.B.
