Ellen A. Granahan of West Pittston, died Sunday morning at Wesley Village. Born in Scranton, daughter of the late William and Margaret Keegan Granahan, she was a graduate of South Scranton Catholic High School and was employed by Penn Furniture before retiring.

Ellen loved reading, butter pecan lattes, cheesecake and a hint of sarcasm. She cared deeply for her family and was one of the kindest people you would have ever met. Ellen was a loving sister, aunt, neighbor and friend. She will be especially missed by Paisley, Miss Boots and Bear.

Surviving is her niece Lisa Vennarini and husband Charles; nieces Kathleen Kane and Ellen Granahan; nephew Joseph Granahan and wife Pam; nephew Mark Granahan; nephew Bill Boland and wife Cindy, as well as numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

Ellen was preceded in death by sisters Margaret Boland and Joan Granahan Deykes; brothers Joseph Granahan and William Granahan; niece Anne Kushner and nephew Michael Boland.

A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, July 9th at 2:30PM in the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home Inc. 318 East Drinker Street in Dunmore. Family and friends may pay their respects from 1PM to the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, preferred memorial contributions may be made to Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge, 974 Lockville Road, Dallas, PA 18612 – BCFanimalrefuge.org.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home Inc.
