Ellen Lingo Obituary

Ellen Jane (Lacy) Lingo, 72, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, December 19, 2025. A private graveside service will be held at Countryside Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Owensville, Missouri. Ellen was born June 27, 1953, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Walter and Opal (Stevens) Lacy. After high school she received her nursing degree from Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids. She worked for Sara Lee Bakery. Ellen enjoyed going to Riverside Casino and playing Bingo. Survivors include her daughter, Charlene "Char" Cox; grandchildren, Gage (Mallory) Lacy, Aaron Lacy, and Lindsey Klein; five great-grandchildren; and sister, Joyce Clark, all of Cedar Rapids. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Opal Lacy; husbands, Larry Cox Sr., and Walter Lingo; son, Larry "Bitsy" Cox Jr.; siblings, Leon "Clark" Lacy, Victor Lacy, Doug Lacy, Walter Lacy, and infant sister, Gloria Lacy; and brothers-in-law, Richard Bean and John Clark.
