Ellen Marckesano Obituary
Born on August 10, 1926 in Richmond, VA, Ellen was a daughter of the late Virginia Inge (Grubbs) and Joseph Inge. She graduated from Brooklyn College and also attended Columbia University for graduate work. Ellen volunteered annually at the Devon Horse show in Devon, Pa and volunteered her time to the Cancer Thrift Shop in Berwyn, Pa.
Ellen was an avid reader, bridge player, artist, gardener, and beach lover. She adored classical music and all forms of art. Ellen had a fairytale marriage with her husband of 64 years and made their family home an incredibly special place to grow up in.
Ellen is preceded in death by her husband, Louis Anthony Marckesano, and her son, John Edward Marckesano
Ellen is survived by her daughter, Virginia Lou Larence, son-in-law Frank M. Larence, two grandchildren: Eric Louis Larence and Amanda Virginia Torres, and six great grandchildren: Jackson Scott Larence, Virginia Rose Torres, Beau Louis Larence, Francis Marckesano Torres, Abigail Ryan Larence, Riley Joan Larence
Burial arrangements will be scheduled at a later date to take place in Richmond, VA.
In lieu of flowers, please send any and all memorials to be made in memory of Ellen Marckesano, to the Employee Appreciation Fund at Bishop Gadsden.
