Laura Ellen Segraves

1958 - 2026

Ellen Segraves, 67, peacefully went to her Savior on March 10, 2026.

Ellen was born on November 30, 1958 to Crait and Helen Harbin in Jefferson, GA. Growing up, she was a talented pianist and a cheerleader, cheering for her Jefferson Dragons throughout high school.

Ellen married her best friend and the love of her life Chris in 1982 and they moved to Augusta to start their life together. She was so proud to be the mom of her two daughters, Lauren and Kelly, coaching them both in softball and always being their biggest fan in the stands. But by far her favorite role of her life was being Mimi to her four amazing grandchildren, Tanner, Lucas, Brooks and Carson.

She was one of the biggest UGA and Atlanta Braves fans you'd ever meet. She loved Christmas more than most. And she always looked forward to her next beach vacation.

Ellen is survived by her husband Chris, her daughters Lauren (Josh) and Kelly (Andrew) and her grandchildren Tanner, Lucas, Brooks and Carson. She is preceded in death by her parents Crait and Helen and her brother David.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday, March 12, 2026 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. at Warren Church with Rev. Lane Lowery officiating. Burial will be private.
