Ellenrose Laufer

Ellenrose Laufer of Richboro, PA passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, November 5th at the age of 87.

Ellenrose was the beloved wife of 64 years to William J. Laufer. Born in 1938 in Luzerne, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Dorothy Govier (Lavin). She is predeceased by her cherished brothers, Thomas and Robert (Murph) Laufer.

Ellenrose was a proud graduate of Swoyersville High School and Misericordia University. She began her career as a high school biology teacher and later dedicated herself full-time to raising her family. She found her greatest happiness in being surrounded by family. She took great pride in knowing her children were all close by and loved the impromptu visits as much as the big celebrations. Family was everything!

In addition to her husband Bill, Ellenrose will be profoundly missed by her children, Kathleen Kajmo and her husband Paul, Joseph Laufer and his wife Lori, William Laufer and his wife Rebecca and Thomas Laufer and his wife Janelle. She was the dearest Mommom and biggest cheerleader to her grandchildren, Andrew (Heather), Scott (Sydney), Stephen (Mia), Natasha (Ryan), Nicholas (Micheala), Kathryn, Daniel, Emma, Charlie, Alexandra and Jackson as well as a treasured great grandmother to Kaelin, Derek, Audrey and Carter.

Ellenrose is also survived by sisters-in-laws, Penny Laufer, Karen Gayewski (John), MaryLou Letner and Dot Govier in addition to her many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to greet the family on Wednesday, November 12th from 10am-12pm at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 81 Swamp Road, Newtown, PA. A funeral mass will follow. Interment will take place on Monday, November 17th at 10am at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA.
