Elliotte Hetrick Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by John B. Brown Funeral Home, Inc. on Oct. 16, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

Gerald Hetrick, Jr., 66, of Hesston, went to be with the Lord on the evening of Sunday, October 5, 2025, at his residence, after a long battle with various health complications from Ankylosing Spondylitis. Born September 13, 1959, at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon, he was a son of the late Elliotte Gerald Hetrick, Sr. and Florance Eleanor (Eriksen) Hetrick. He was united in marriage to the former Tamia Ann Morningstar on July 12, 1986, at the Word of Life Fellowship, Huntingdon, by Pastor Robert "Sparky" J. Price. His wife of 39 years survives at their residence.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his step-daughter and son, Susan Marie Keller of Williamsburg and Jacob Michael Hetrick of Minnesota; two grandsons, Xander Bryan Keller and Tristan James Keller; a step-brother, Gary G. Hetrick of Huntingdon; as well as, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Nila Jean Hetrick and Lois Ann (Hetrick) Fisher; paternal grandparents, Elliotte R. Hetrick Sr. and Mae E. (Steele) Hetrick; and maternal grandparents, Oscar N. Eriksen and Hazel A. (Dahl) Eriksen.

Gerald attended Huntingdon Area High School; in 1990 he became ordained as a minster. He was also self-taught in video editing, filming, producing, and closed captioning.

In 2000, Gerald and his first wife, Tami, founded Impact Media & Graphic Design, Danville, VA; a broadcast television production company which specializes in Christian media and broadcasting. Prior to being the owner of Impact Media & Graphic Design, he held the role as pastor of Christian Heritage Church, Danville, VA, and the Word of Life Fellowship, Huntingdon; and also served as a televangelist. Previous to those occupations, he had been employed by Eriksen Water Well Drilling, Hesston, as a water well service technician; and in his younger years, held various positions in construction and other miscellaneous industries.

Gerald had a passion for racing; and enjoyed stock car racing in his youth. He formerly served as the gas man with the Eriksen Racing Team in the ARCA series and filmed and produced DVDs of each race for Hesston Speedway from 2010 through 2012. Gerald also enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, riding ATVS with his dogs, and excavating his property. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and singing to his wife, Tami.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Mt. Zion Lutheran Cemetery, 10028 Stone Creek Ridge Rd, Huntingdon, PA 16652, with Pastor Charles Reed officiating. A celebration of Gerald's life will follow at 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 25th, at the Swigart Antique Auto Museum, 12031 William Penn Hwy, Huntingdon, PA 16652.
